Review: 1/144 HG Gundam Dynames

The second Gundam to be revealed to the world at large by Celestial Being, Gundam Dynames is the mobile suit of the first Lockon Stratos. Largely a counterpart to Gundam Exia, the Dynames has only token melee weapons, preferring to use its GN Sniper Rifle and other firearms to provide mid to long-range support. For high-precision targeting, the unit's facial armor can be reconfigured to Sniper Mode, exposing a forehead scope used specifically with a rifle-like controller within the cockpit. The cockpit also contains customized dock for Lockon's Haro, which acts primarily to assist in suit movement and enemy detection. Lockon often relegates all tasks but using the sniper rifle to Haro. The name Dynames is derived from dunamis, the Greek word for power or force.

History
GN-002 Gundam Dynames is one of the protagonist units of the anime series Mobile Suit Gundam 00. The Dynames main weapon is the GN Sniper Rifle, a long-barreled beam rifle which is used during standard sniping missions. For close combat, the Dynames has a pair of GN Beam Pistols mounted on its lower legs as well as two GN beam sabers stored at either side of the movable rear thrusters. Other standard armament include a small GN Shield, secured upon the rotatable shoulder dock opposite the sniper rifle and the mantle-like GN Full-Shield which consists of two shoulder-docked shield extensions that offer varying degrees of frontal protection. The GN Full Shield can be controlled by Haro at the pilot's request. Dynames also houses 24 GN missiles launched from behind the frontal knee and skirt armor for dealing with multiple enemies. Its most powerful weapon however is the GN Extreme Long Range Sniper Rifle, an optional stationary armament capable of targeting and sniping targets in planetary orbit. Though never activated in the series, had the Trans-Am System been enabled, it would have boosted Dynames's specs to three times the normal amount and its acceleration would've caused afterimages to appear. As its primary armament is the long-range GN Rifle, Dynames is almost exclusively used as a sniper, taking up a well-hidden position and dispatching targets from afar while Exia draws the attention and fire of the enemies. If forced into mid-range or close-range combat, Dynames switches from the Rifle to its GN Pistols, wielded akimbo. In most situations, Lockon only performs aiming and firing, with all remaining tasks (including evasion, movement, and control of the GN Full Shield) relegated to Haro. In very short range, Dynames prefers to use its GN Missiles, using its beam sabers only as a last resort. Though rarely used, Dynames has a special rifle with which it is capable of firing on orbital targets from the ground. It is also capable of docking with the GN Arms support craft to boost its firepower enormously.

Appearance
Dynames is very different appearance since it was made to be a long range mobile suit. It huge shields mounted on its shoulders moves in front serve as protection and as a camouflage when attacking.

Colors
Gundam Dynames colors has a look of a military colors. Basically Green, Red, White, Yellow and Grey. Green colors are on the body, shoulders, feet, knees and side of the head. White colors are on the head, "GN Drive", arms, top of the hands, waist legs and top of the feet. Yellow are on the "Antennas on the shoulders" and on chest (exhaust). Red colors are on the abdomen part, chin, and lower feet. Grey colors are commonly on joint parts and palms.

Articulation
Dynames has nice Articulation. Head can rotates Fair, The Body also rotates perfectly, Shoulder movement is good And Add to that new joints add to the chest so that it can move forwards and backwards. And finally new articulation on legs, double jointed knees but a different one.

Accessories
This gundam has GN Sniper Riffle, two GN Sabers (apparently no beams included). Too bad it doesn't include the 2 GN pistols.

Availability on the market and Costs
Dynames is the third release model in the Gundam 00 series, today its availability is minimal though there other released versions of this kit(which i will review in the future). It cost about between 700 to 800 pesos in the market which is very affordable considering it is a high grade.

The protagonist mobile suit of the anime series Mobile Suit Gundam 00, and the mobile suit of Setsuna F. Seiei, Gundam Exia is the first Gundam to be displayed to the world at large. Sporting the set of armaments known as the "Seven Swords" System, the Exia is best-suited for melee combat. The Exia is also the first publically-known mobile suit to use beam-based weaponry, an indication of how vastly advanced it is in comparison to other mobile suits fielded at the time.

History
Gundam Exia is the mobile suit piloted by protagonist Setsuna F Seiei during the first series of Mobile Suit Gundam 00. Exia is the second Gundam to appear in the series as it overpowers and destroys the AEU's latest mobile suit, the Enact, during a public demonstration of the Enact's capabilities.s1 ep1 Designed for melee combat, Exia's primary weapon is a massive metal blade mounted on its right forearm, which can be folded down to reveal a beam gun. Additional handheld swords, beam blades, and shield compliment Exia's armament. While the Exia is in battle with the Ali Al-Saachez piloting the stolen Gundam Throne Zwei, the death of Aeolia Schenberg triggers a system trap and activates Exia's Trans-Am system and releases the Gundam's full potential.s1 ep22 During the battle at Lagrange point 1, Exia is severely damaged during its confrontation with Graham Aker in an upgraded Flag, the GN-Flag, and left drifting in space. The partially repaired Exia makes a short appearance during the first episode of the second series. Although it could stand its ground against the GN-XIII, it was no match for the newer Ahead. Celestial Being recovers the Exia after its battle at the Proud colony and installs the Exia's GN Drive on the 00 Gundam.s2 ep1 Exia makes another appearance in the last episode of the second series, when Setsuna transfers from the wrecked 00 Gundam to pilot the Exia against Ribbons Almark, piloting the 0 Gundam. s2 ep25 In the side story Mobile Suit Gundam 00V, an optional series of large-capacity GN particle condensers appears called the Avalanche that boosts Exia's speed and armor.

Appearance
Since the series is brought up in the future, Exia looks is very different from the conventional gundams from the past series. This kit has a slim type of body. Its body is design differently to typical Gundam Models. Mounted at the back, they add new eqquipment for gundams called "GN Drive" Add to this is the rubber pieces attached to both sides of arms and shoulders.
